Poem carving commemorates family anniversary on Island of Luing.

I was commissioned to carve a Haiku in Caithness stone to mark the 50th anniversary of a family’s holidays. The poem was written by a member of the family and features the family name, the strong tidal stream, slate-chipping and “fool’s gold” and their mother’s bee-keeping.

Installed on the island of Luing, south of Oban.
