I recently finished a special commission of a carved stone bird bath in the shape of a maple or sycamore leaf. It’s quite a big brute (30″ x 29″) and the stone was incredibly tough to carve, but I’m really pleased with the result. It looks great when wet and it’s nice to see the resident pied wagtails dipping into it and the red squirrels visiting for a drink.
