This is a hard memorial to talk about and was hard to carve. This was a tragic story but I managed to involve the family throughout the design and even the carving process. The design was a tracing of a drawing by the younger brother. Mum, dad and two brothers picked up the chisels to finish the memorial by carving the kisses at the bottom.
“I got home last night and went straight to see the stone. It’s a struggle to express exactly how much it means to us but you have captured something so personal to us as a family. The stone looks so unique and special among the sea of black granite. C— was unique and special too. It’s fitting that her final resting place is marked so. Thank you for everything.”
