And I’m really pleased with the result! This particular stave came up really well once it was sanded back and oiled showing some of the charring coming through the grain. Get in touch if you’re interested in commissioning something similar…or completely different! Of course, it would be possible to carve a design or lettering into the piece too.
It’s possible I’ll try a few other ‘household’ items like this from whisky barrel staves. Any thoughts??
