The hand-carved oak presentation box I was asked to create for Glenfarclas Distillery has sold at auction for a whopping £81,250!!! Although it’s possible that the 1 gallon bottle of 58 year old rare Glenfarclas Malt Whisky may have contributed to the price.
The auction took place in October at Hopetoun House outside Edinburgh. It was run by Sotheby’s for The Distillers 1of1 event. The sale, along with contributions from many other distilleries around Scotland raised an amazing £2.9million on the night for children’s charities.
