The Speyside Way is a long-distance walking (or cycling) route which happens to run very close to my home. It currently runs from Spey Bay on the Moray Firth coast to Aviemore in the Cairngorms, approximately 65 miles away. Plans are underway for the Speyside Way to be extended from Aviemore through Kingussie to Newtonmore. I’m pleased to announce that I have been contracted by the Cairngorms National Park Authority to include a start/finish marker into my art installation plans in Newtonmore. This is likely to be a simple standing stone with the Scottish long distance route thistle logo carved into it.
