This is a headstone I carved recently for a very good friend who tragically lost his father to an accident. It was very hard for all involved but the process was very cathartic. Wull was local to where I love and his son and I drove round the fields and hills looking for just the right stone. We settled on this one and got about coming up with the right design. On it we have a resplendent red deer stag standing in front of the very view that can be seen from the lair in Cromdale kirkyard. It shows the Cromdale hills in the background. At the top we have entwined rose and thistle for Wull’s parentage. The stone was installed on a stunning summer’s day.
