The Knockando Woolmill approached me to fix and refurbish the big knot sculpture that I produced for them in 2014. The piece, crafted from a single elm log, was in a bit of a sorry state. It had been neglected and suffered from rot and big chunks had disappeared. The repairs included fabricating new pieces to slot into the missing holes, sand and oil. Now it’s back in its home outside the woolmill, looking as good as new.
